Forthcoming Update from KWVR galas in 2009
The next updates on http://www.imagesoftransport.com/ will be from the Spring and Summer galas on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railways (KWVR). The galas in February and June featured home and visiting locomotives, the star attraction in February being Britannia class locomotive 70013 Oliver Cromwell.

Class 37 Locomotive Group
Must give a plug for the Class 37 Locomotive Group! The Group owns 37 003, and has recently moved to a permanent home at Dereham on the Mid-Norfolk Railway. The C37LG intends to return 37 003 the mainline if possible, and as part of the fundraising effort has recently commissioned a Limited Edition model of 003 in 1970s BR Blue condition.
For details of the Group, its activities and the 00 gauge model please visit the excellent website at http://www.c37lg.co.uk/. I hope to bring news of the loco’s progress, and the Groups’ activities in this Blog!

Barrow Hill Roundhouse
I recently attended the Barrow Hill Type 5 Diesel gala. The event brought together Deltics, Westerns, Grids and Sheds. In addition were some of the resident diesels, plus those under restoration, conversion or repair by Harry Needle.
Unfortunately I was left a little disappointed, no Deltic until 3pm, with 55019 being used for testing and sound recordings for a well known model railway sound-chip provider, and 55022 not running till very late in the day. However, we were treated to 56098 and a fantastic looking 56101. Look out for the pictures coming soon to http://www.imagesoftransport.com/.
